Description

Mathbook is a spin on facebook. This specific mathbook activity includes the solving one-step, two-step, and multi-step absolute value equations. Students each get a sheet that includes space for their profile picture, name, date, emoji, an “I can” statement, a math problem to solve, and space for the teacher or a peer to put their profile picture and write a positive comment. They add their sheet to their phone/tablet template and it can be hung up on a bulletin board for decor.

Included:

• iMath phone/tablet template

• 30 Mathbook sheets - a variety of levels for differentiation

• answer key

• profile picture library (30 icons to choose from)

Add more iMath activities to the phone throughout the year. This helps to show student growth and use for review at the end of the year.

I AND my students loved this activity. I had it set up for stations in my math resource and each student had to check in with me after each time they solved what was wrong and what the answer should have been. It was so great and I heard "I actually liked this! We should do more things like this."
