The second episode showcases some of the strangest animals found in the oceans on our planet and the interesting adaptations that help them survive in their environments. From the coastline to the dark depths, students take a trip through the sea to investigate these oddities.

I use this show, and this episode specifically, during our chapter on evolution and natural selection. I have used it to further explore the concept of sexual dimorphism. It's also a great resource for a substitute day. The worksheet comes with a completed vocabulary section, 10 fill in the blank or open-ended questions, and two bonus questions. The bonus questions ask students to think beyond the episode while considering sexual dimorphism.
