Here’s a great way to track the progress your students are making with Acadience Reading and Math for Grades K-5! After you progress monitor, simply fill in the bar graph with a highlighter or light colored marker. I love to meet with my students each Friday and show them the progress they are making. This visual really gets them excited to set goals and keep working hard. When they know how far they’ve come it’s so empowering!
Tips:
- Choose one area to focus on at a time. Once they've mastered that move on to another.
- You don't need to do this for every student. I recommend starting with your reds, yellows and possibly kids who are green but you don't feel are solid. You'll find that this is beneficial for your high students too and they will beg to have a graph of their own.
- Use a highlighter to fill in progress each week.
