Accountable Discourse Turn & Talk Bookmark Question Stems Printable

Description

These Bookmarks will give students the tools to have discussions and talk through disagreements in a productive manner! An excellent way for students to make learning permanent is to give them a chance to talk about what they are learning. Practicing Accountable Talk and Math Discourse can help students reinforce what they have learned, and is an integral part of the International Baccalaureate Action Cycle. Accountable Talk is collaborative and will deepen students’ thinking about a topic.

Giving students “two minutes of talk time” rarely leads to productive discussions, unless there is guidance. These bookmarks will guide discussion and help keep students focused.

I am glad you found the Turn & Talk bookmark helpful. My students seem to have better discussions when they have the sentence stems in front of them to guide their discussions.
