Acid-Base PhET Simulation Lab

This is a fun and engaging way to help students understand what are acids and bases.

This lab was built for students to do on their own with little help from a teacher as a take-home lab. However, the lab could be used as an independent inquiry lab in class.

Students will learn about 8 different liquids and whether they are an acid or base. Also, students will learn what happens to the pH of the chemical when you add water to it. They will use the PhET simulator for Acids and Bases to complete it and will need access to a computer. At the end, there are 5 post lab questions to help students delve deeper into the topic.
