Description

This PowerPoint file is a wonderful presentation about Active Transport within cells. Active transport is the movement of molecules from a low to high concentration with the use of ATP. The principles of active transport, endocytosis, and exocytosis are explained in this PowerPoint.

I have also included a “fill-in-the-blank” style worksheet to accompany these notes for you to distribute to your students if you wish. This PowerPoint contains a very nice collection of images and animations to assist with understanding. All pictures used are in the “public domain” so there is no worry of copyright violation. At the end is a quick practice quiz for your students to try if you wish to check for understanding.

You can view this entire PowerPoint on my YouTube page prior to purchase. This way you can see exactly what is included in the PowerPoint. However, if you purchase this product the PowerPoint will not be narrated. You still have to teach yourself (lol).

Clear and Engaging PowerPoint on Active Transport
Rated 5 out of 5
April 22, 2026
Beverly Biology's Active Transport PowerPoint is a well-crafted presentation that explains a concept students often find confusing. The visuals clearly distinguish active transport from passive transport, and the animations help illustrate how energy is used to move substances against concentration gradients. The slides are clean, informative, and paced appropriately for high school biology. I used it as a direct instruction tool followed by discussion, and students were much more confident on assessments afterward. The resource is ready to use right out of the download with no major modifications needed. It integrates seamlessly with cell membrane and transport units. A reliable and effective resource.
