Description

This is a one-sided coloring page with 16 questions over complex numbers operations. Operations included are:

  • adding
  • subtracting
  • multiplying a complex number by a constant
  • multiplying two complex numbers
  • squaring a complex number
  • dividing (by rationalizing the denominator)
  • evaluating "i" to powers higher than 4

The student calculates the operation in question and then finds their answer in the coloring key. Then they color a tessellation design. There are 2 extra answers in the coloring key. Why not color something mathematical? Key included.

This is a great activity. I loved that there were a mixture of different complex number operations with various levels of complexity, so it was a great review. Plus, my students love coloring!
