Description
This project includes 7 mini lessons to teach adding and subtracting simple fractions. The following concepts are included:
- Converting Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers
- Converting Mixed Numbers to Improper
- Simplifying Fractions using a T-Chart
Four Ways to Add & Subtract Simple Fractions
- One Denominator is a Multiple
- Multiply Denominators
- Finding the Least Common Denominator
- The Butterfly Method
Each mini-lesson concept is color coded which makes it easy to separate if desired. How-To Slides, plus five independents problems including 3-word problems are a part of each lesson. Slides have a pastel background with enough blank space on each, so students can show their work.
Lessons can easily be used as interventions, one-on-one, small group, or whole group on smart board or virtually via a LMS.
