Description
A set of 32 task cards to address the addition and subtraction of decimals to the hundredths place. Half of the cards require addition and half require subtraction. The problems also contain a combination of those which do and do not require regrouping.
Common Core Standard
5.NBT.B.7 - Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used.
Materials Included
•32 Task Cards in color
•32 Task Cards in blackline
•Answer Recording Sheet
•Answer Key
Setup
Task cards can be printed in a variety of ways depending on your personal preferences and available materials.
These cards look amazing in color, but also print well in grayscale. For those who must conserve ink/toner (like me), I have included a duplicate set with a blackline border.
Cards hold up best if printed on card stock or construction paper. Another option is to print them on plain paper and glue or laminate them to a heavier paper.
