Description

Are working on adding decimals with your students? Here is a fun activity you could do with your 4th and 5th Grade math students to make them engaging. Students will first solve such problems on a worksheet. Then, they will put their answers on the bingo board (included). The correct answers are on the bingo cards that will be read aloud to the students. Whether you want to use it to prepare for a test, or just use it as a station for math centers, the fun is still the same. Did I mention that it's animal themed?

How to use / How to play

1. On the worksheet with the problems, Complete the following equations.

2. Fill the empty spaces on the bingo board with your answers to the questions. Fill the boxes in any order.

3. Make sure to double check your work because the correct answers are on the bingo cards.

4. Cut out the bingo-cards, then put them in random order. They will be read out loud one at a time.

5. If one of your answers is called, mark/cover that space.

6. Once five spaces in a row are marked/covered, yell BINGO or whatever fun word you or your class thinks of. This means you won the round.

7. Feel free to play as many rounds as you want or add a twist to it to make things interesting. Have fun!

Compare two decimals to hundredths by reasoning about their size. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two decimals refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual model.
