This resource helps students build confidence with adding decimals while connecting math to everyday life.

Simple Decimals: Prices are designed with simple decimals (e.g., $1.70, $2.00, $3.45) to help students practice adding with ease and build confidence.

Perfect for Math Centers, small groups, or independent practice.

How It Works

Students receive a Order List Card (4 items per list) and:

  • Find item prices using Menu Cards or Digital Storefront (PPT/Google Slides).
  • Record each item and price on a Receipt Worksheet.
  • Calculate the Grand Total (adding decimals).

Optional Extension: Making Change

Want to challenge your students further?

  • Add an Amount Paid
  • Students calculate the change (subtracting decimals)
