In this engaging activity, students add fractions with different denominators. They use their answers to identify the correct pieces and colors to create a monster. You can quickly check students' work by the shapes, colors, accessories, etc. to make sure students are on the right track.
Students can cut and paste the pieces together, or trace/freehand if you want to skip the mess! Please note that the activity is not editable.
Extension Question
Includes an optional extension question at the end where students can create their own fraction addition problem to add a feature to their monster.
