Description
Adding Integers Activity Game.
Students can work in their groups to create different adding integer problems.
Complete the table with your shoulder partner.
• Randomly draw the number of tiles shown from your bag.
• Draw a picture of your collection of tiles.
• Circle any zero pairs, then determine the value of the tiles.
• Write a number sentence, show on a number line, and write a verbal description.
You can use color tiles if you have those.
You can make:
Red = negative (-1)
Yellow = positive (+1)
If you do not have tiles, snap cubes, marbles, or other things students can distinguish between positive and negative, you can print out the blank or color copies below. If you decide to go that route, cardstock would be ideal.
