Let your students learn to enjoy adding positive and negative integers by having competitions. They will be motivated to be fast and accurate. They use decks of cards from which the jokers and face cards have been removed, the black numbers will represent positive integers and the red numbers will represent negative integers.

This competition may be done as small groups of students so that all students must engage in the competition. They will accomplish a lot of problems in a short amount of time, improve their speed and accuracy. A 'win' for everyone!
