Adding Integers Pyramid Activity
In this activity, students will work their way from the bottom of the pyramid to the top of the pyramid by solving integer addition problems. An answer key is included.
*This activity is also provided as a TpT Digital Activity. The PDF has an interactive overlay with answer boxes and additional instructions already added. This Digital Activity can be assigned through the Google Classroom.
Accessibility:
In order to make sure ALL students can be successful with this activity, 3 levels of difficulty are provided.
- Level 1 (intervention students or students with accommodations): numbers -10 to 10, fewer problems, self-check points
- Level 2 (on grade level students): numbers -15 to 15, additional problems, several self-check points
- Level 3 (students who need a challenge): same as Level 2 without the self-check points
Implementation Ideas:
- Use for practice, review, homework, or centers
- Laminate or slip into a plastic sleeve for repeated use
- For students who enjoy competition, have them race to see who can correctly fill in all boxes in the shortest amount of time.
