This contains notes and practice for adding integers on a number line. I do this lesson with my 7th graders. The notes start with adding two positive numbers, then progresses to adding two negative numbers, and finally adding a positive and a negative number. There are two practice pages included. The first one contains examples similar to the notes examples. I use this page as classwork practice, working with partners. The second practice page also has examples like the first page and additionally includes some review questions ~ estimating sums of decimals, comparing negative and positive numbers, order of operations and operations with fractions. I use this page as a hw assignment.
