Our guided notes are designed to be used for teaching and to create notes that support students when practicing. Complete the four polynomial addition problems as a class to build a set of notes that students can refer back to as they practice addition problems. Alternatively, provide students with the completed note set as review or to scaffold their learning while they are familiarizing themselves with adding polynomials.

Each problem has been solved using both algebra tiles and mathematical symbols. Choose between two different legends for positive and negative tiles, to suit what works in your classroom.
