Description
I love using task cards in my classroom! They are great for many things, from whole class reviews to individual enrichments. This set includes 32 task cards, with 16 cards using a standard algorithm, and the other 16 involving word problems. All of the blue and green frames are subtraction problems while the pink and purple frames are addition problems.
Also included in this set is a recording sheet, along with an
answer key.
In all of the word problems, you will see three numbers in parentheses. These numbers provide varying levels of degrees of difficulty, so all of your students can be successful. For example, one task card says:
“On Monday, Laura ran (2.3, 3.45, 4.539) miles. On Tuesday, she ran (4.5, 8.25, 9.384) miles. How much farther did she run on Tuesday than on Monday?”
Students could then decide if they wanted to do 4.5-2.3=x, 8.25-3.45=x, or 9.384-4.539=x.
