This product provides another way to help students practice adding and subtracting integers. This product provides guidance for the student as he or she is completing problems.
This product consists of 7 cards that are stapled together in order to form a small booklet. A question or statement is on each card directing the student to do the next step necessary. This way, the steps are seen one at a time rather than seeing a list of steps. This will help students who have difficulty or get overwhelmed by looking at complex verbiage.
The task cards will help ensure that the students will complete the problems correctly. The cards may be used repeatedly until the student realizes that he or she can add or subtract without the hints.
This product would work well in a math center with a set of problems.
