To successfully complete this activity, students must know how to:

• add and subtract rational expression with like denominators (3 problems)
• add and subtract rational expressions with unlike denominators (6 problems)

This activity promotes independence because as they simplify the problems, students will find their answers in the box on the back to tell them how to color the picture.
