This lesson concentrates on Common Core Standard 4.NF.3.c : It is aligned to the common core standards, as well as the mathematical practices. (I Can Statement: I can add and subtract mixed numbers by changing them to improper fractions or by adding the whole numbers together, then the fractions). It is designed to enhance conceptual development, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

**56 PowerPoint Slides (Custom Made Chalkboard Theme) Great for classes that have a projector. This visual presentation is an excellent tool for all learners!!! I use it as a supplemental tool with my lesson.
** 32 Common Core Task Cards (pdf)
(PowerPoint Slides are also included of each individual Task Card, Just in case you need to project a certain task to the whole class instead of centers).
