Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions DIGITAL Clue Mystery Activity

Description

With this engaging digital activity, students will have fun solving math problems to reveal the answer to the mystery! No prep and self checking, this activity will help your students practice adding and subtracting rational expressions and simplifying complex fractions. Great to use for practice, homework, review, or sub plans.

Students must figure out who found Lily Lavender's lost homework, and when and where they found it. When students solve each problem, they find their answer to eliminate one of the choices. When they finish solving all of the problems, the 3 unchecked choices will solve the mystery! Students can check the solution to the mystery by typing in their answers. The boxes will turn green if correct or red if incorrect.

Extension work for Algebra 1 students at the end of the year with Rational Expressions. Students partnered up and worked together. This made a tough topic fun - especially after state testing and during the last days of school.

I noticed you put a lot of work into this. We thought it was so cool how the box would turn red when used (that and the answer boxes turned green or red). I loved the layout and the questions were pretty good. I saved the last 3 for my gifted kids to try. Thanks so much for the awesome resource!
