Description
his resource is intended as an independent or group practice activity. How you use the problems included in this resource is up to you, however, I have listed a couple examples of how this activity might work for your classroom below. An answer document for students to show their work on as well as an answer key have been provided.
Activity Example 1: Cut out and post the task card questions around your classroom or hallway. Have students walk around to solve the questions. For a fun twist you can assign visible point values to each question and have the students “build their grade” as they work.
Activity Example 2: Cut out and place the task cards with a group of students. Assign a partner A, B, C and D. Partner A will read the question and point out key information in the problem. Partner B will decide what process needs to be used to solve the problem. Partner C will solve the problem. Partner D will check the teams work to see if it was solved correctly. Students will switch roles as they move to each new question.
