Description

Students build conceptual understanding and master the Teen Number addition facts. Scaffold and differentiate instruction using ten frames and counters, write-on templates and tri-fold cards. Great for whole group instruction, intervention, tutoring, homeschool and homework. Not only do the lessons support students, but also provide support for the instructor with sample language.
 
Pack includes:
*2 hands-on lessons that build conceptual understanding
*1 teen number template to be placed in a heavy duty plastic sheet protector “sleeve”
(plastic sheet protector not included)
*10 large tri-fold cards for whole group instruction (print cards on cardstock; cards
require cutting and folding; store cards in a 4x6 plastic index box)

Prerequisites:
To be successful with the teen numbers using a ten frame, students first need to be fluent with dot card patterns ( ≤ 10) on a ten frame.

Additional Materials Needed (not included in pack):
*Counters
*Heavy duty plastic sheet protector “sleeve” for each student
*Dry erase marker for each student

As an interventionist, the more visible and tangible the better. This was quite helpful, in a non-overwhelming format. The kids use this to show understanding in a model format. I have used this quite often with 1-5th!
