Description

You will download an addition packet for your kindergarten, 1st grade, or special education math students to practice finding the missing addend with addition facts to 18. You will receive both print and digital formats via the TpT EASEL platform.

You will receive:

  • 26 addition task cards,
  • 26 matching game cards,
  • 2 cut and paste addition worksheets,
  • a creating equations activity,
  • and an addition quiz.

Note: The addition matching game and cut and paste worksheets work best as printable addition activities in your math centers or stations.

You may use the printable addition facts task cards in your math centers or stations for fun practice or review games and activities, such as a scavenger hunt or SCOOT. They also work well for transition activities, as exit tickets, for morning work, test prep, and as quick formative assessments.

Addition game ideas, a student response form, and answer key are included.

This addition resource best aligns with the following kindergarten and first grade Common Core standards:

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.OA.A.4
For any number from 1 to 9, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record the answer with a drawing or equation.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.OA.D.8
Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 + ? = 11, 5 = _ - 3, 6 + 6 = _.
