Our Addition Game Boards will give students the opportunity to practice their addition skills while using decimal addition with regrouping. Included in this download is an instruction page, 2 options for a coloured game board, and 36 task cards.
This is meant to be a LOW PREP activity and can be used as a whole class activity or during small group math rotations or centers. Once printed, just cut the calling cards and you are ready to play! To extend the use of this Addition Board Game, laminate the game boards and question cards before cutting. Let the fun begin!
Supplies needed for this game are: Player Pieces, One 6-sided dice, Game Board, Question Cards, Mini White Boards, and White Board Markers.
Game Rules: Start your game piece at the starting place. Each player takes a turn rolling a dice and then moving their game piece the number of spaces shown on the dice. Choose a question card to answer. If you get it right, you can stay on that space. If you answer it incorrectly, you move your player back to where they were at the start of your turn. Have all students playing solve the equation to check for the correct answer.
