Print each page, laminate for durability and cut out the number cards and cow and horse counters. Each of the 21 work mats has a red barn on it and an addition problem within 5 for students to solve. These 21 work mats include the commutative properties for each addition problem within 5 such as 4+1 and 1+4. Students can use the cow and horse counters included in the packet to help solve each problem by putting the animals into (on) the barn to find the sum. After finding the sum, number cards 0-5 are also included for students to use to show the sum in the space provided on each barn work mat. A blank addition template is also included for students to use to write each addition problem and sum as they find the answers on the barn work mat. A practice worksheet including 18 addition problems within five is also included for student use. This is great for a math center or for early finishers.
