Description

Who says you can't be constructivist in math class? Let your students see how they solve these journal entries and have them share their strategies. Did they draw a picture? Maybe they used tally marks to organize their math. Did they spot the mistake in thinking? The students will benefit from seeing that, even though there is only one right answer, there are many paths through mathematical thinking. Journaling in math empowers students to tackle problems even if they don't know the exact mathematical approach.

Included are three 20 minute, adding journal entries that spark deep problem solving and encourage writing out mathematical thinking. Need more entries? Check our bundle here Math Journal Bundle.
