These addition fact practice puzzles called 'Addition Blocks' are 40 puzzles with solutions. Each one requires logic, addition skills, and strategic thinking. They are great for developing addition fluency and accuracy, particularly with numbers from 0 to 20.

The puzzle rules are:

  • Fill in the missing numbers.
  • The missing numbers are all between 0 and 5.
  • The numbers in each row add up to totals to the right.
  • The numbers in each column add up to the totals along the bottom.
  • The diagonal lines also add up the totals to the right.

This resource could be used:

  • displayed in the classroom for the whole class to work on
  • as a fast finisher activity
  • for differentiation
  • by individuals or with parters
  • pages could be laminated and used again and again
