Description
You are looking at a creatively designed and illustrated set of 2nd Grade Math Facts Task Cards that have been seamlessly differentiated into three levels of rigor. The questions level up in groups of 10 which allow students of all levels to build confidence in their skills before being challenged by more higher level thinking questions that are introduced later in the set. There are 30 cards in all and all cards align with CCSS 2.OA.2.
Cards #1-10 are the least difficult in the set and can be given to any students who might be struggling to gain confidence. Cards #11-20 are just slightly more challenging, while the last 10 questions require a bit more critical thinking.

METHODOLOGY BEHIND THE CARDS
This set was carefully formulated to ensure alignment to common core state standard 2.OA.2 (Addition and Subtraction Facts), and is specifically designed to meet documented student expectations for this 2nd Grade Math standard.
The questions can be used for guided practice or independent practice.
The questions on the cards have been patterned from problems that have historically been asked on standardized tests. Although there is no uniform test that is shared by all common core adhering states, we sampled many previously released tests to find repeating patterns in the types of questions that were asked for a particular standard.
