There are many ways to use interactive notebooks to support learning. In my own classroom, I have used these pages as whole group note-taking, for small group instruction, as partner work, and as independent work. At times, I have used them as a class exit slip to check understanding or a math center activity to allow for practice and to add additional information to my students’ notes. Students’ notebooks become a great reference tool they take ownership of and go back to throughout the year.
