25 text problems with plus and minus up to 13.
An image on each card that matches the text.
Can be used multiple times to incorporate a learning break during a math session.
ActiveLearning focuses on movement for the students during the day and during a session. 15 - 20 minutes of activity is important for development, engagement and motivation, as well as the students health.
A small movement guide for this task:
- Cut up and place the reading cards in a box or on the floor somewhere other than where the students are working.
- The students run to get a card, read it, and find the answer.
- Tell the answer to an adult.
- Another way to do it, is for them to turn the task into a math problem in their notebook.
