Description

Do your kids need some extra practice with addition to 5? Are they tired of worksheets? Then Addition Sums to 5 Exercise Scoot is just what you need!

Scoot! is a fun activity where students will travel from station to station or desk to desk to solve problems. It is a great activity to get students up and moving, while still practicing academic skills. This one is EXTRA special because it includes EXERCISE!

Give each student a recording sheet. Students will start at their own desks (or an assigned spot) and answer the problem on their task card, writing the answer in the corresponding box on the recording sheet. When students are finished, the teacher will say, “Scoot!” and students will move onto the next desk or station. They will continue to answer problems and move around the room until they get back to their own starting point.

What you will get:

This set includes two versions, one with picture cues and one without. There are 30 cards in each set, plus a recording sheet and an answer key. You can also trade some cards so you have a mixed set. (Some with pictures and some without.)

For the exercise cards - I did not assign a number to the

exercise task. You can stipulate the number of each exercise at the beginning of the game depending on the day. For added challenge, have them count by fives or tens to 50 or 100. It's always great to get math and ELA in the same game!

Scoot! games can also be used as task cards at a center!
