Description

This is a great fall or autumn themed math center or small group activity using and identifying numbers to 12. In this activity students have to match the leaves to the tree. The tree has the number on it and the leaves have the number in an addition sentence, a ten frame, objects, and in word form. They have to put four leaves on each tree. They solve simple addition equations as well as learn that there is more than one way to show a number (words, objects, addition, ten frame). Print on card stock, laminate for durability and use at a math center or small group teacher led instruction. Great for Kindergarten students or lower level first graders! This activity also comes with a cut and paste worksheet very similar to the activity which can be used for additional practice or assessment.

My students love this activity. It allows them to build their number sense and they now enjoy representing numbers quickly and accurately.
