With these task cards they will be able to work independently to show what they have learned when determining the unknown in an addition equation when it can be an addend or sum that is missing. Ways to use Task Cards:
- Place them on desks around the room and have 1 student per card. Students can move at their own pace or you can give them a certain amount of time and tell students when to move.
- Tape task cards on the walls around the room. Students can travel with a clipboard around the room at their own pace.
- Station Activity: Place cards in a basket for a small group of students to share a set of cards. Each student has their own recording sheet, takes a card to solve, and places card back in the basket. Students can work in any order and at their own pace.
