This collection of math centers features a variety of games for students, with choices for competitive or cooperative games for students to pick! The centers are designed to be engaging, even when played repeatedly, so your students will be eager to reinforce their understanding from your lessons! For more details about each individual game, don't hesitate to look at their individual pages.
Included with each center:
- A teaching and setup guide
- Full color instructions for students, including an example problem with different strategies for students to choose from
- All necessary game pieces to play (except dice)
- A double-sided "whiteboard" that students can use to solve the problems with dry erase markers when laminated
You will need:
- Dice
- A laminator, to increase longevity of the game pieces and to use the "whiteboard"
- Dry erase markers, to use the "whiteboard"
These centers were designed to be used with the Big Ideas Math program, Chapter 4. All of the strategies on the "whiteboard" and in the examples will be familiar to students following this program, but are easily incorporated into any lessons outside of the program.
