Incorporate these printable adjective task cards into your adjective lesson plans to provide students with meaningful practice as they learn to use describing words to expand their verbal and writing skills. Just print, cut, and laminate, and use them year after year as a part of your grammar lessons.

This resource includes two different sets with 20 task cards each (in both color and black and white versions).

In set 1, students read a sentence and identify the adjective from three underlined words. The rigor increases in set 2, as students are given a noun and must write an adjective to describe it.

The images on each card provide extra support for students. The same pictures are used across sets for continuity--in set 1, they see model sentences using adjectives based on the pictures, and in set 2, they think of their own adjectives to describe the pictures.
