Description

This fall-themed project-based learning activity lets students "adopt" and care for their own scarecrow while practicing real-world skills like writing, reading comprehension, math, and collaboration. Students complete a simulated adoption process that includes scarecrow picture cards, adoption applications, themed shopping lists, interviews, writing activities, and adoption certificates.

With a cozy autumn feel and lots of classroom display extras (like bunting, lettering, and adoption step visuals), this resource is perfect for October or November PBL, fall centers, or low-prep Thanksgiving activities. Easy to implement and reusable year after year!
