This is the lesson plan of the first lesson of Unit 9 of Adrian's new and exciting AP(r) CSA Course. The lesson introduces students to inheritance in Java.

Adrian's Java AP(r) Course aims to teach students Java with the main objectives for them to become hands-on coders and problem solvers. As many as possible are to pass their AP CSP exam as delivered by the College Board.

As opposed to many other commercially available materials this course engages students through authentic learning experiences, real-world problems, differentiated instruction and instruction relevant to students needs.

I interviewed hundreds of coding classes students and I learned that in a very high proportion (actually over 80%) their main passion was actually not in coding but in other areas such as professional sports, music & entertainment, arts, cars, money, and social justice causes. This course bridges the gap with that.
