Our Read, Paint, Cook Unit Study Series include book lists, weekly rhythms and art lessons for you to easily add art and culture adventures into your homeschool routine. Created for kids 3 to 13 learning together, there is something for everyone with the Build Your Masterpiece Class!
What’s included?
- Week 1: Eiffel Tower Study, France Map + Flag Lesson, George Surat + Pointillism Art Project + Eiffel Tower Rice Krispy Sculptures and Parisian Hot Chocolate Recipes.
- Week 2: Claude Monet Study, his home and garden in Giverny + Waterlilies, Snails + inspired art projects for a variety of levels and ages, plus Brioche au Chocolate and French Crepes Recipes which continue to help teach the spiral art concept in baking.
- Week 3: Baguettes + Carrot Soup, along with Montessori Inspired Resources for learning all about the Life Cycle of Wheat in a Unit Study + Comparison Art Appreciation of Wheat Art by Claude Monet & Vincent van Gough.

- Week 5: Picasso Study, learning about Abstract Art, Self Portraits, Inspired Artist Spotlight of Sol Felpeto from Spain, a contemporary Artist who paints abstract Cats, inspired by Picasso’s Cat Minou. We also have Abstract Pet Art projects, as well as as Special Art Series feature from Picasso of “Sylvette” the girl with the pony tail, with original coloring pages, and art project tutorials. Enjoy delicious recipes to continue these two topics of Abstract Art and Cats with our East Abstract French Meringues (I have featured a video here in this listing of when we made these cookies while learning about Picasso!) and French Sable Cookies in the shapes of Cats!
- PLUS the Adventures in France Level 1 Cookbook! You will love to have this cookbook for your use and save keeping in your kitchen. I recommend laminating this one for durability.
- This is a Zip File, which contains 5 weeks of France Adventures, which are designed as “Open and Go” for both mom and students of multiple ages learning together.
- We have included worksheets for the younger ages to enjoy as well as base many of our units around brilliant children’s books about art, geography and so much more.
