Description

What I Did on Spring Break! Editing Activity. Great middle school test prep! Find writing mistakes in the sentences and make corrections in spelling, punctuation, and grammar. 25 sentences with common errors. Students become "teachers" and correct the writing errors in sentences about a Spring Break vacation. These are actual student mistakes from a 7th grade class. Kids enjoy this fun welcome back from Spring Break activity, even though it is challenging since these are typical mistakes! Has a worksheet and task card version (with blanks) to add your own. Students will demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing. Digital and Printable Resource: Includes an Easel Activity ready for learning with digital tools. Assign it online in Google Classroom or share a link in any LMS. Select the pages you want and add your own notes. Helpful for remote teaching. CCSS: CCSSL.6.1, CCSSL.7.1, CCSSL.8.1 Common Core Standards. 10 total pages including 3 ready-made digital Easel Activity pages. Please see full preview.

I broke this up into daily warm up activities. Some of the sentences were quite challenging, especially for EAL students, but it was good practice in reading closely.
