Description

This Resource is an After Test Grade Conference Handout: Guide for Student Grade Self-Reflection. This handout should be used by the Teacher when having a one-on-one reflection talk with a student about their most recent test grade, and what the student could have done differently to have prepared better for the test. This handout can be used for every student in your class, or you can focus only on the students that earned low test grades. This handout has: (1) space for the student to write their test grade and percent, (2) 6 Yes/No questions to answer about their preparation with the content knowledge for the test, and concludes with (3) space for the student to write down three things they will do differently for future tests after this self-reflection.

Students will answer 6 Yes/No questions to reflect on their in class and out of class preparation for the test, and determine if they could have made any changes to better prepare for the test and demonstrate deeper content knowledge as evidenced by a higher grade on the test.

  • (1) Did you study the night before the test?
  • (2) Did you complete the review assignment given in class the day before the test?
  • (3) Did you have all the papers and materials you needed to study for the test?
  • (4) Did you study each paper or materials for homework on the days you got them in class?
  • (5) Did you do all of your work during class time in class, or make up the work you did not finish?
  • (6) Did you pay attention to the lessons in class, and actively work with the content information?

This resource is two pages. Page 1 is Grade Conference Handout- Make as many copies as you need for the number of students you are having grade conferences with. Page 2 is Teacher Directions.
