"I love that this challenges students' thinking! As well as the "going further" portion of each problem Not only do they need to solve the problem themselves, they need to identify why the person was wrong. Love how you included both a pdf and ppt, so I am able to use it as it fits the needs of my class! Great resource- thank you!!"

Met expectations
Great value
Standards-aligned
This resource is amazing! What I love about it most is that it's encouraging my students to use the critical thinking skills I've been teaching them all year long. This is not a packet of worksheets for students to just sit and practice solving math problems. While you can have students show all their work, it's way more valuable as a resource to get kids thinking about what they know about place value, the properties of numbers, odd/even reasoning, fraction relationships, divisibility rules, part to whole relationship, landmark numbers, reasonableness of answers, what to do with remainders, using math vocabulary...the list goes on. They're finally seeing the value in using these critical thinking skills rather than just plowing through calculations. Highly recommend!

Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
