This lesson is designed for a math binder.
Students will learn:
- the forms of an inverse variation xy = k
- how to determine whether an equation or table is an inverse variation (6 problems)
- solve an inverse variation equation by using either the Product Rule or Proportion Rule (2 problems)
- graph an inverse variation by making 2 tables and then graphing the curves (xy = 4, xy= -6, and xy = 12)
- for the area of a rectangle, determine the inverse variation equation, create a table of values, and graph the relation
