Description
Included are 3 versions of an Algebra 2 unit test on Algebraic Manipulation.
Topics include:
- Solving a system of 3 variable linear equations
- Solving a non-linear system of equations
- Solving any equation
- Solving rational equations
- Solving literal equations
- Algebraic proofs
Each version is very similar to the others; the problems have different numbers but the type and level of problem is the same. Same skills, same level of difficulty, just different numbers. I use one version as a practice test as review, one test as the actual test and the third as a retake. Having repetition but with different numbers leads to better understanding of topics. Giving the first version as practice allows students to pinpoint exactly what they need to study for the actual test. Having a third version gives flexibility for retaking.
The test questions are mostly modified from New York State Algebra 2 Regents Exams from June 2016 and August 2016. You could also use this resource as part of your end of year review or Regents review unit. Although these problems are based on New York State Exams, the content in them is universal and can be used in any Algebra 2 class.
