Description
In this real world application task, students will apply their knowledge of conditional probability and independent events and use them in a real world situation. Students will take a look at statistics from different Major League Baseball players and determine if certain events are independent from one another. For example, are the events “getting a hit” and “having two strikes” independent events? Are the events “getting a hit” and “playing in a night game” independent events. Students will delve into real statistics in this fun and engaging performance task.
