Description
The Chapter Assignment Sheet shows everything needed for both the students and the teacher. It shows the number of lessons being taught along with the lesson title. Here you can find the pacing and the number of days needed to complete the chapter. Many teachers use the Chapter Assignment Sheet to score each assignment (and sometimes add notes) and the student turns it in at the end of the chapter for points. This item includes .PDF and .DOCX files packaged in a .ZIP.
In Chapter 10: Polynomials and Factoring, students will be taught how to identify polynomials along with how to add and subtract polynomials, multiply polynomials, multiply special polynomials, find the GCF and factor it, and factor and then solve a quadratic equation, factor a special quadratic expression, factor out the GCF first, and then factor the remaining quadratic expression, solve a quadratic equation that is already in factored form, and solve a quadratic equation by factoring when in standard form.
This item is part of my Algebra Essentials curriculum. This curriculum is similar to my existing products on TPT that enhance the Holt Algebra textbook except for two main differences. First, my Algebra Essentials curriculum is not tied to any book. It’s a stand-alone curriculum that has it all. Each chapter has a PowerPoint and worksheet homework for EVERY section (my Holt Algebra curriculum pointed to the Holt textbook for many of the homework assignments). All the sections are named and ordered in the way I feel is best (my Holt Algebra curriculum would jump around sections with A days and B days). Secondly, in my Algebra Essentials curriculum I focus on the ESSENTIALS! (in my Holt Algebra curriculum I taught what Holt thought was best). I focus on the skills that my students need. I find that the Common Core curriculum I am currently teaching makes a lot of assumptions of what students should already know and it also expects students to learn concepts with very few provided examples. My full Algebra Essentials curriculum has many possible uses. It could be used to supplement your current Common Core curriculum (giving students the practice needed for mastery). It could also be used as a complete stand-alone course since it contains 91 lessons, 102 PowerPoints, 113 worksheets, and 35 assessments.
