Description

Your students will love practicing inverse operations to solve these one step equations in a puzzle math center form! I use these for partner work and have students coach each other. Pair your students up and have them take turns being the coach or the person solving a puzzle. This way, they can check their partners' work. You can also have students use these during small group guided math. Of course, you can always have students complete these during independent work time.

Included:

  • 12 one step equation puzzles with addition and subtraction as the inverse operations.
  • 12 one step equation puzzles with multiplication and division as the inverse operations.

Instructions for use:

  1. print (I would use card stock or just laminate)
  2. cut out puzzle pieces
  3. mix them up!
  4. have students put them together
