Description

Looking for a hands on way for students to practice fining inverses of functions? This card sort has ten functions (equations) for which students have to algebraically find the inverse and match the cards. Most problems are linear (varying in complexity) and a few basic quadratics (like x^2/100).

For the printable card sort, students will cut out the functions and inverses to match them together. Tip: Print on card stock and laminate to use year after year!

For the digital card sort (drag and drop) students will drag the inverse to the corresponding function. There is a PowerPoint and Google Slides version to best suit your needs.

BONUS: The PowerPoint version has an editable slide, so you can add or delete questions. You can also modify the questions as needed to help you differentiate this activity for your students.
