100% Digital Resource!

Perfect activity for distance learning!  This is an interactive, self-checking game in which students defeat aliens by solving one-step equations with a variable.   This product requires addition, subtraction, and multiplication of both positive and negative integers.  This is a great activity to practice solving equations with variables.  Although it is designed to be used independently, it can be easily adapted for small and whole group instruction as well as guided practice.   Please let me know if you have trouble with this product in any way!  I am here to help you!   Email address is included in the product.

Directions: Upload this Google Slide titled “Alien Equations” directly into your Google Classroom.   Students should click the “Present” button in the top right corner for best experience.  The first slide explains that the students will be traveling to the moon with Sally the astronaut. Throughout the slide, students will be prompted to click and move on to the next slide.  When a student sees a problem, he or she should click on the alien with the correct answer.  This will take them to a congratulations slide and prompt them to “Click to Continue”.  If a student selects the incorrect answer, he or she will be taken to a slide that says, “Oh No!” and the student should click the arrow to return to the previous slide.    When the student has answered all the questions correctly, he or she will see a slide that says they have made it to the moon and to press esc to return to Earth.
